Let's Work for our Soul
Deplorable, Devastating, Disheartening
their condition was.
Garbage, Dirt, Poverty
Unfortunate their life was.
Irrespective of all odds and pains
Surreal, Sublime, Satisfying
Their smiles were,
Inwards & outwards visible with
Joyful, delighted, happy faces
In the wait of distributions.
My heart full of sense of gratitude
Overflowed with humanity & humbleness
Stood there, passing eatables
Felt, as if they were not just grains
But lot more than that.
Wondering.. ! how meager a sacrifice
Of time and money it was
Showering genuine joyous smiles
Faces all vibrant and victorious
Holding their shares in small hands.
That being the most pious work
My physical self sensed goosebumps
Soul felt contended somewhat,
Signalling to perforn such goodfeel tasks, quiet often more often.
