COMMUNION
God is not
reluctant to change
The truth is
The Changeless
never has need to change
Recalcitrant senses rushing
Desires after desires, raging
like fires … never satiated
Changing, ever in stride
Only for worse
Making this gift of life a curse
Wrapped in emotions
Often times astray
in self-deceptions
Yet, not relieving, but reliving
our ego
We believe we know
when we know not even the micro
Knot after knot, ever in knots
Pained prisoners in a pain-body
Living a life of our own falsehood
Us and God …
NEVER like two lines in parallel
nor lines that meet in urgency
Intersect only in emergency
Yet, busy we act
Our world of enormous endless norms
ever looking for forms
of the ONE ever formless
So come
come out of this falsehood, come
With modesty and humility
confident nonetheless
In words plain and simple, not stray,
Say …
Let my 'world' end
not reluctant to merge or to lose
and through this loss
of identity and ego to find a gain again
in being, not becoming
the ONE ever resplendent
For thou already are
and ever were THAT
