Everything originates at first at the level of a whim or an idea which gets translated into grosser forms at an opportune time. Ideation leads to a will or a desire for the subject of the specific ideation followed by an attendant attachment to it and thereupon a consequent identification and bondage with the matter created.

This is how the entire material world and the cosmos have come into existence! Our own personalities and entire individual make-ups are therefore no better than whims and fancies escalated into palpable objects and living dynamisms in the form of separated existences over course of time, which in reality are actually false.

We are responsible for an act of ours only as long as we are within the realm of cause-and-effect based world which in itself is in the domain of cosmic illusion (better known as Maya in Adwait Philosophy). All talks and realities of things like virtue and sin, good or bad, or heaven or hell are hanging down from this noose of Maya and are hence false from the point of the view of the absolute.

To recreate oneself or to reach back to our original unadulterated state is therefore much like demolishing one’s existing house brick by brick from being within and keeping one’s home intact. What a stupendous task!
